Life is Full of Firsts

Nathan took his first steps today. Three steps to be exact. I was so thrilled for him and it made me happy to see how excited his big brothers were. Did I capture any of that on video?

NO!

But life if full of firsts and although I missed capturing the first steps (we tried to recreate it), I did get Nathan eating his first dill pickle today. Here is my sweet baby boy's reaction to a sour pickle...

***If you can't make it out Josh is saying, "Good night, sleep..." and Nathan answers, "tight!"

How cute is that video! I love his first bite and that little wiggle. Kev and I like to watch or have watched the lemon babies on youtube. Thanks for your comment! P.S. Willie's "garbage bag" rain coat and comments you said he made are funny! He was always such a like Elder.... Elder K. was very popular!

That is so cute! how exciting for the first steps. My kids have always loved pickles and always taste them really early. my dad thinks it's hilarious to let them taste them.

Hurray on the first steps! But I think the pickle might be grounds for child abuse. Grandma T.

my kids never gave us a good reaction to pickles, lemons, nothing. they just devoured them. i guess my kids are just strange... :)

Too funny, Nat. You should send that in to America's Funniest Videos and win some cash. His first face is absolutely hilarious! BTW, your "jaw-jaw peach" line sent me into hysterics. I was thinking about that the whole time we were in Georgia. I didn't even bother explaining to Ryan. And NO, I couldn't find a peach anywhere. I guess we were too early. (Ryan bought me a peach candle instead at the JC Penney outlet but it was made in New York so it doesn't count)
