Travel Tips Needed

Exactly one month from today we'll be on a CRUISE! It will be grandma's big 75th (you don't mind me sharing that, right grandma?) and she's celebrating big. She is taking the ENTIRE family on a Disney Cruise. Woo Hoo!!! We are all extremely excited and ready to go (except for the fact that our passports still haven't come) BUT this is something I've never done before!I need some tips from all you cruise experts! Any pearls of wisdom to share with me? I'm worried about getting seasick and I'm having mini flashbacks of the movie "Titanic." I don't want to get there and think, "Oh, I wish I would have brought..." or "Man, I wish we would have..." Fill me in now so I can get it together!

How fun! Man, that is quite the celebration. We went on a cruise for our honeymoon, but I'm not too sure I have very much advice. I would recommend not taking dremomine (sp?) though. It knocked us out for days. Maybe those wrist things that push on your pressure points would be good though. I don't have any other advice other than HAVE SO MUCH FUN.

that will be so fun! i've never been on a cruise so i don't have any good advice-sorry! i would love to go on one someday though!

in response to the above comment, there is a less-drowsy formula of drammamine.

Dremamine seemed to work for me, but only take half a pill at a time. Make use of the kids club on the Disney cruise the kids all seem to love it! I am so excited for you. If I think of any more tips I will send you an e-mail. Have FUN!

Nat~ I am SO excited for you and your cruise. I am WAY jealous too! It is going to be a blast. When Don and I took our cruise... I got really sea sick but they have really good pills that they hand out on the cruise ship (well, on the one we went on) Our waiter at dinner was so good that he had them on my plate when we came for dinner! It was funny! There's not much advice I have for you except to have fun!!!! And take lots of pics! Love you

Nat, I was getting so excited for a moment! We are going on a cruise (McDonald family)the EXACT same day. Where are you going????? Unfortunately we are going on Carnival and (fortunately) we will not be bringing kids. We are going to Mexico. Let me know, maybe we can meet up in Cabo!

Don't worry Natalie, if you get sick I will let you sleep in the room in peace and quite as long as you want.
