We deep fried our turkey this year for Thanksgiving...YUMMY. I'm more than grateful Willie headed up this project. First there was the marinade injection. Note the BIG needle on the counter.Observe the doctor's intense look of concentration. Did I mention I'm really glad I didn't have to do any of this?! Eck.
How-to-point-at-base-of-flame practiced and demonstrated by Hans. I was seriously worried my house would burn down. The oil was hot and ready, drop it in!A bit too much oil, hence the overflow and classic expression by Willie. Put the lid on, quick!Lots of work for a DELICIOUS turkey. Thanks guys!We had two other families join us. Mmmm, I'm still thinking about all that great food. You girls can cook!

Your not a blogger failure!! I only took a few pictures. They are of Seamus eating slices of butter and they are on my Mom's camera so it'll be a while till I get them posted. I love the pics of Willie frying the turkey.
Yeah for deep fried turkey! I thought it was the most yummy that I've ever had too. How did you guys go from deep snow in Oct to Willie in shorts on Thanksgiving?!
Blogging doesn't always have to have pictures. In the olden days, journaling was just words on paper. :o) Love the pictures of Willie dropping the turkey in oil!
It's a good thing Willie is brave enough to touch raw meat! You would have starved to death without him and your wonderful friends. What a group! We can hardly wait to see you. Only 8 more days, but who is counting?:)
Yay, Willie! I'm proud of you for doing the "frying" thing. It is dangerous but so YUMMY! I tried fried turkey for the first time and I couldn't believe how tasty it was compared to the 'old-fashioned' way. I'm also very proud of you for helping with the cooking! Jon helped throw the groceries in the cart. It's about all he's capable of doing for Thanksgiving. Oh, and he fixes drinks for everyone... :)
Deep fried Turkey is the best, as good as deep fried Twinkies. Good job, Willie.
